At Synergy, we want to help high school students apply their faith to their lives. The main avenues we do this through are small groups, worship, large group teaching, Synergy events, and mission opportunities.
Tom Bell is our student pastor and covers all things student ministry as well as leading out in Synergy. If you can’t find Tom in the office, he’s probably with his wife Ashley and their sons, Grayson and Landry, in their super swag minivan, rocking out to Rend Collective. And if you strike out there, then they’re at home watching reruns of the 2016 World Series Championship game because apparently if you’re from Chicago, the Cubs are good??? Not sure………………….
Anyway, Tom knows how important it is for high school students to connect with Jesus and to each other and he works hard to make sure Synergy is a place where that can happen.
What ages is Synergy for?
Synergy is for high school students, who are currently in grades 9-12.
How do I find Synergy?
The map below should help you locate where Synergy meets!
Sunday Meeting Time
Synergy gathers on Sunday mornings in the Upper Fellowship Hall at 9:30AM for worship together and then ends in the Lower Fellowship Hall in small groups, which are divided by grade and gender.
Wednesday Meeting Time
Synergy meets on Wednesday evening in the Upper Fellowship Hall from 6:30PM-8PM for a time of games, fellowship, worship and teaching.
Do I need to check my student in/out for Synergy?
We do not require parents to check their high school student in for Synergy on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights. We do check the student in, but parents do not have to be present or show a receipt in order for their student to leave when the service is over.
What if I am in my small group during 11am, where does my student go?
Most of our Synergy students and leaders sit in the 11am service. If your student needs someone to sit with, we would be happy to find a family or group for them!
What will my student be doing while in Synergy?
On Sunday mornings, we meet in the Fellowship Hall for a time of hanging out and community, followed by small group Bible study led by our adult leaders. On Wednesday evenings, our time together is focused on topical teaching, hanging out and playing games!
