TorT

Our annual Trunk or Treat Night will be on Sunday evening, October 29th. We will have lots of church members' cars on our parking lot, decorated in a fun theme and their trunks loaded with FREE candy for kids in 6th Grade and under. There will be a fun hayride, bounce houses and large inflatables, a petting zoo and new this year. . . a stunt show featuring Mountain Bike Trials! Plus, there will be outside vendors that will have food and drink items available for purchase. Families will be able to come and go between 4 and 7 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult during the event. No registration necessary.

If you are a member of First Baptist Church of Arnold we could use your help in 3 ways:
1. Donate sealed bags of individually sealed candy. Drop-off in the church lobby during October.
2. Volunteer to help by clicking here.
3. Parking offsite (location TBD) to make room on our parking lot for others.

Allergy Alert: Parents please be aware that there will be candy served at this event that contains nuts and peanuts. Please try not to let your child open a candy that possibly contains peanuts or tree nuts until after they leave the event in order to not trigger an allergic reaction in anyone present. Thanks for your cooperation to make this a safe event for all.

Awana Clubs

The name Awana is an acrostic which stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" and is taken from II Timothy 2:15. Awana provides a special place for your children to make new friends, play exciting games, compete in rewarding and challenging contests, receive awards as reinforcements for their good performance, and have opportunities to learn and memorize God's Word, the Bible.

First Baptist Church of Arnold's Awana Clubs is for children two and a half years old through sixth Grade. The goal of Awana Clubs is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.

Sunday

On Sunday mornings First Kids offers two venues for children to know God better.

Small Group Bible Studies - Teaching Bible truths every Sunday morning through Bible studies, crafts, playing games, and other activities are all ways your children will learn of God's love for them. Our teachers are committed to caring for your children by creating a positive and spiritual atmosphere for them.

8 – 9:15 a.m. = Grades K – 6 (broadly graded classes)
9:30 – 10:45 a.m. = Grades 3 – 5
11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. = Grades K – 2

FUSION - FUSION is a time for children, Kindergarten – Grade 5, to worship God in a way that is fun and understandable for them. We have two different exciting worship Services on Sunday.

9:30 a.m. = Kindergarten - Grade 2
11:00 a.m. = Grades 3 – 5

Our Bible study and worship leaders are committed to caring for your children by creating a positive and spiritual atmosphere for your child. The safety and security of all children is top priority at First Kids! We have secured and monitored areas where our children learn and play as well as a security team that is available if needed. All of our adult volunteers have passed background checks to ensure another layer of safety. Children can be checked in by a parent or guardian at the entrance to the 2nd floor of the Family Life Center. Upon picking up your child, parents / guardians must present the receipt issued during check-in earlier that day.

Sick Children

For the protection of all children, parents are asked not to drop off a sick child. Upon the recommendation of the Committee on control of Infectious Diseases of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a child should not be taken from home when any of the following exist: A fever, vomiting or diarrhea currently or within the previous 24 hours

Any symptom of a childhood disease such as scarlet fever, measles, mumps, chickenpox or whooping cough

Common Cold-from onset through one week

Sore throat, Croup or persistent cough or green runny nose

Any unexplained rash

Head lice

Pink eye or other eye infection

Hand, foot and mouth disease

If a child develops a fever or other symptoms of illness while at church, he/she will be isolated and the parents contacted to take the child home.

Parent Resources

Along with the rest of Next Generation Ministry, we will be teaching The Gospel Project, which immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project for Kids, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.
